DREAMY BACKYARD HAWAIIAN WEDDING

Rhianna & Connor are like family to me and I was so thrilled when she asked me to come to the Big Island of Hawaii to do her wedding flowers. This wedding was so unique and special and it was such a treat to be a part of this special day as the florist and a guest. I was fortunate enough to be able to forage all the greenery and tropical plants right from the backyard, where the wedding was held. It felt so good to sustainably forage from the luscious yard. On top of that, at the end of the night, I was able to put all the flowers and greenery in the owners compost pile— so everything we used went back to the soil and nothing was left wasted. It was an incredibly unique experience and has pushed me to work more sustainably, in whatever capacity I can. This day couldn’t have been more perfect. Photography by the ever so talented Megan.
